Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
