The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed, 19 Till, when they reach it (Hell-fire), their hearing (ears) and their eyes, and their skins will testify against them as to what they used to do. 20 They will say to their skins: "Why bear ye witness against us?" They will say: "Allah hath given us speech,- (He) Who giveth speech to everything: He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return. 21 And you did not try to hide [your sins] lest your hearing or your sight or your skins bear witness against you: nay, but you thought that God did not know much of what you were doing 22 and that very thought which you thought about your Sustainer has brought you to perdition, and so now you find yourselves among the lost!" 23 Even if they were to exercise patience, their dwelling would still be hell fire. Even if they were to seek favors, they would receive none. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them close companions who made their past and present look attractive to them; and the fate that had once befallen the communities of jinns and men before them was justified upon them. They were indeed bound to perish. 25
