Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; 64 Who say: "O our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell: Its punishment is surely continuous. 65 Verily ill it is as an abode and as a station. 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 And they who do not call upon another god with Allah and do not slay the soul, which Allah has forbidden except in the requirements of justice, and (who) do not commit fornication and he who does this shall find a requital of sin; 68 The punishment shall be increased for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will remain in it forever, with humiliation. 69 Except him who repents and believes and does a good deed; so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds to good ones; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;- 71 and those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, pass by with honor 72 and who, whenever they are reminded of their Sustainer's messages, do not throw themselves upon them [as if] deaf and blind; 73 And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path." 74 Those shall be rewarded with the highest apartment, because they persevered; and therein they shall be met with a greeting and salutation. 75 There they shall live for ever; a fine dwelling place, and residence. 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77
