The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 Who will be honoured 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 Gushing water, 31 and fruits abounding 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
