And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 It is a guidance and grace for those who believe. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
