The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated over it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
