The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
