Verily those who disbelieve - they will be cried unto: surely Allah's abhorrence was greater than is your abhorrence toward yourselves when ye were called unto the belief, and ye disbelieved. 10 They will say, "Our Lord! Twice You have made us die, and twice You have given us life! Now we have confessed our sins: is there any way out [of this]?" 11 That is because when Allah alone was called upon, you disbelieved, and when associates were given to Him, you believed; so judgment belongs to Allah, the High, the Great. 12 It is He who shows you His signs, and sends you food from the heavens. Yet none takes a warning except him who turns to Him. 13 Therefor (O believers) pray unto Allah, making religion pure for Him (only), however much the disbelievers be averse - 14 Exalted and throned on high, He lets the Spirit descend at His behest upon whichever of His servants He will, so that he may warn of the Day of Meeting, 15 the Day when they will emerge and nothing of them shall be hidden from Allah. (On that Day they will be asked): “Whose is the kingdom today?” (The whole world will cry out): “It is Allah's, the One, the Overpowering.” 16 This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account. 17 Warn them (O Muhammad) of the Day of the approaching (doom), when the hearts will be choking the throats, (when) there will be no friend for the wrong-doers, nor any intercessor who will be heard. 18 He knows even the most stealthy glance of the eyes and all the secrets that hearts conceal. 19 And Allah will judge with (justice and) Truth: but those whom (men) invoke besides Him, will not (be in a position) to judge at all. Verily it is Allah (alone) Who hears and sees (all things). 20
