The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
