The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it; 7 And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
