Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
We have made constellations in the sky and decorated them for the onlookers. 16 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil: 17 Except for he who steals the listening and is then pursued by a visible flame. 18 And the earth! We have stretched it out and have cast thereon mountains firm, and We have caused to spring up thereon everything weighed. 19 And We have appointed thereon for you livelihoods and also for those of whom ye are not the providers. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away). 23 And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards. 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25
