The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
