Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
