Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whoever is averse to the Remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint a devil upon him, who stays with him. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 But when he comes to Us, he will say (to his satan): “Would that there had been between me and you the distance as between the East and the West. How evil a companion you were!” 38 And it will profit you not today, because ye have done wrong, that ye are in the torment sharers. 39 Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 or make you see the end that We had promised them, for We have full power over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to what We have divinely revealed to you; indeed you are upon the Straight Path. (The Holy Prophets can never go astray). 43 The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
