Ad gave the lie to the apostles. 123 When their brother Hud said to them: "Will you not take heed? 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 127 Do you build monuments on every high place in vanity, 128 "And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. 129 And when you lay hands (on men) you lay hands (like) tyrants; 130 So fear you God, and obey you me; 131 And fear Him Who hath aided you with that which ye know. 132 succoured you with flocks and sons, 133 And gardens and springs. 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn. 136 This is just a habit of antiquated people. 137 and we shall not be punished." 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140
