And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 and they bar them from the way, and they think they are guided, 37 At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)! 38 (It will be said to them) “And you will not benefit from them this day, whereas you are unjust – for you are all partners in the punishment.” 39 What, will you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and he who is in clear error? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 or We shall show you what We have promised them; for surely We have complete power over them. 42 Hold thou fast wherefore to that which is revealed unto thee: verily thou art on the straight path. 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah? 45
