This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
