The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 on lavish couches 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruit of what they select 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and flowing water 31 and fruit abounding, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 and upraised couches. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
