The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
