The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
