The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
