Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
