3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
