He it is who has made the earth easy to live upon: go about, then, in all its regions, and partake the sustenance which He provides: but [always bear in mind that] unto Him you shall be resurrected. 15 Can you ever feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you up when, lo and behold, it begins to quake? 16 Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning? 17 And verily those before them denied, then (see) the manner of My wrath (with them)! 18 And did they not see the birds above them, spreading and closing their wings? None except the Most Gracious holds them up; indeed He sees all things. 19 Or, who is it that shall be your host to help you, other than the Merciful? Indeed, the unbelievers are only deluded. 20 Or who is this that shall provide for you if He withholds His provision? No, but they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Who is better guided: he who walks grovelling on his face, or he who walks upright on a Straight Path? 22 Say thou: He it is who hath brought you forth and hath endowed you with hearing and sights and hearts. Little thanks it is ye give! 23 Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together." 24 And they say: When shall this threat be (executed) if you are truthful? 25 Say: "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly." 26 But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which ye used to call. 27 Say: Have you considered if Allah should destroy me and those with me-- rather He will have mercy on us; yet who will protect the unbelievers from a painful punishment? 28 Say: He is the Beneficent. In Him we believe and in Him we put our trust. And ye will soon know who it is that is in error manifest. 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
