And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
