The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens with constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
