(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
