(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Enjoin them their understandings to this? or are they a people conumacious? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
