Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know what you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
