The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
