Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
