۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! 22 And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust. 23 [whereas] on that same Day those who are destined for paradise will be graced with the best of abodes and the fairest place of repose. 24 On that Day, a cloud will appear rending the sky and the angels will be senthi down rank after rank. 25 The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). 26 The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. 27 Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend! 28 He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." 29 And the Apostle cried out: O my Lord! surely my people have treated this Quran as a forsaken thing. 30 And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the sinners and sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper. 31 The unbelievers have said, "Why was the whole Quran not revealed to him at once?" We have revealed it to you in gradual steps to strengthen your hearts and give you explanations. 32 And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it. 33 [And so, tell those who are bent on denying the truth that] they who shall be gathered unto hell upon their faces - it is they who [in the life to come] will be worst in station and still farther astray from the path [of truth]! 34
