▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
