NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
