The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ OF WHAT ARE they asking one another? 1 Is it about the awesome tiding 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Did We not make the earth a spreading, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs 8 And made your sleep for rest, 9 And made the night a cover. 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 We raised over you several secure (skies), 12 And placed a lamp therein brightly burning. 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 That We may produce from it grain and vegetation, 15 And gardens thick with trees. 16 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] has indeed its appointed time: 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 And the mountains will be moved they will therefore become like mirages. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 a home for the transgressors, 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 tasting neither coolness nor any drink 24 Except boiling water and benumbing cold: 25 An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes). 26 For lo! they looked not for a reckoning; 27 and they absolutely belied Our verses, 28 And We have kept recorded everything in a Book, accounted for. 29 [And so We shall say:] "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
