The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
