Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
