And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 The sinful ones will face the destructive torment of hell 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
