T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
