Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In an elevated garden, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
