In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
