And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 and [how] We make gardens of date-palms and vines [grow] thereon, and cause springs to gush [forth] within it, 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 [and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws]. 40 And a sign unto them is that We bear their offspring in a laden ship. 41 And We have created for them the like of it in which they board. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 When they are told, "guard yourselves against what is before you and what is behind you, in order that you may be shown mercy," [they turn away]. 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They will not have to wait long. When the Day of Judgment comes, it will only take a single blast of sound to strike them while they are quarrelling with one another. 49 No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people! 50

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
