Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
