And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet these say: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
