And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
