Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
