And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 So set out with your family in a watch of the night, and keep yourself behind them, and no one of you may turn around, and keep going ahead as you have been commanded." 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. (* To the house of Prophet Lut.) 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 "Did we not restrain you," they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world?" 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 There are certainly signs in that for those who can learn a lesson -- 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. 79
