Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
