Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good 3 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [that comes to them] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 This is the Creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside Him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest! 11
