▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
